Molly lives in the changing world of Monsterland. Her central role in the family is threatened by the arrival of a new egg; her parents no longer have time for her. To hatch this egg, Mom and Dad head to the beach. They forget the hat Molly made for the baby and Molly goes after them on a long and difficult journey.
