Filem’On aims to create an enjoyable festival experience for everyone. That’s why we are committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and accessible environment, regardless of your background, needs, identity, language, or disability.

Locations and Directions

The Filem’On Film Festival takes place at various locations throughout Brussels. You can find a full overview of all venues, along with directions and accessibility details, on our locations page. The location of the screening is always mentioned with the movie.

People with Reduced Mobility

Each venue’s accessibility for people with reduced mobility is listed on the locations page. You can find a more detailed overview for each venue here.

People with Hearing Impairments

Do you or your organization need a sign language interpreter? Let us know via the email address above, we’ll be happy to explore the possibilities with you.

People with Visual Impairments

We want every audience member to enjoy a pleasant and accessible experience at the festival. If you or your group need assistance getting to or from a screening, or during the screening itself, don’t hesitate to contact us at participe.filemon@gmail.com. A selection of Dutch-language films is already available with audio description via the Earcatch app.

We are currently working on offering an equivalent solution in English.

Film Categories

The festival offers a rich programme of fiction, animation, and documentaries. To help viewers know what to expect, we include the main themes of each film under the “Categories” section.

Language and Subtitles

Filem’On screens films from around the world. That’s why the films are presented in various languages, often with subtitles. We use clear icons to indicate the spoken language of the film and the available subtitle options. You’ll find a legend explaining these symbols below:
