Little Joséphine is the daughter of a harsh reverend and an overstressed mother. She lives in the Swedish countryside, surrounded by beautiful nature. But she’s bored and lonely. One day, during a stroll, she meets Gudmarsson, a happy gardener, who introduces her to his nephew, Hugo. The little boy is just her age and has a boundless imagination. The movie was selected for the Cannes Film festival in 1967, and won many other prizes.
