Julia and her two twin sisters Sindre and Ida have moved with their mother to a small village. In a desperate attempt to reach their father, who works in southern Norway, they secretly jump aboard a helicopter flying in that direction. Unfortunately, the helicopter changes direction, and soon they find themselves lost and alone on a deserted island. The three sisters are left to the threats of nature, stormy weather and hungry polar bears….
