Monika, a thirteen-year-old Lithuanian singer, arrives in Dublin with her pianist mother and demented grandmother. When her mother accepts a promotion at the local fish factory and sells their keyboard, Monika refuses to give up on her dream to make it big and cooks up a scheme to get it back so she can perform at ‘The Castle’, a mysterious place where she’s been invited to sing. A beautiful captured coming of age movie about a grown up teenage girl Monika and her complex relationship with her demented grandmother. The film premiered at Giffoni Film Fest.
