Anne Frank’s Diary

Julian Wolff, Nagaoka Akiyoshi

Amsterdam – 1942. Anne Frank is 12 when she and her family are forced to wear the yellow star, as a sign of their Jewish identity. The effects of the anti-Semitic Nazi propaganda are growing stronger every day. The family is forced to go in undercover hiding. In this small space, this ‘achterhuis’ (the back house), Anne will write in her diary, every day, for two years. A window into her fears, her impressions and her questions.
The movie tells a hopeful story, which leaves you thinking too. The intimate, animated movie is very faithful to the diary of Anne Frank. It got a ‘Special Mention’ of the Youth’s Jury at the International Children’s festival of Chicago.
