Franz Arnold is a soccer manager who travels to Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia in search of unknown soccer talent. Young Admassu sees his chance to be noticed as the new African soccer prodigy. When Franz ignores him, Admassu resorts to cruder means: he has Franz kidnapped in order to free him afterwards and become his hero. But nothing goes as planned.
