1930. Hugo (12) lives a secret life in the train station Montparnasse in Paris. He repairs and maintains the clocks. His dad has died, but left him with a magnificent automaton. Hugo is convinced it contains a message for him and so he tirelessly tries to repair it. He looks for parts in the shop of Georges Méliès, one of the true pioneers of the silent movies. A film for kids and teens, based on the book The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick and directed by the master Martin Scorsese himself.
