The ten year old Danish boy William has not had much luck in life. His father passed away, while his mother is suffering from a mental illness that prevents her from taking care of her son. With both parents unavailable, it is lucky that there is an uncle who agrees to look after William’s well being. However, uncle Nils is anything but a conventional adult , a con artist and, worst of all, a gambler… William has to muster all his imagination to save both his uncle and himself, while also juggling three class bullies and his crush, Viola. An uplifting and funny movie about growing up, based on the book of Kim Fupz Aakeson. The film won the ECFa Price in BUFF Malmo in Sweden.
