In the kingdom of animals, the fox Renard is used to tricking and fooling everyone. Consequently, the King (a lion) receives more and more complaints. Finally, he orders Renard to be arrested and brought before the throne. Once Renard is captured the king can’t bring himself to harshly punish the errant rogue, and instead makes him his prime minister… Based on the tales of Renard the Fox this bizarre, fantastical and humorous stop-motion film is Ladislas Starevich’s first fully animated feature. The cartoon characters were given voices by well-known French actors. Starewitch is one of Filem’Ons favorites and many of his works were showed during previous editions.
