The Grufallo tells his little daughter about the Terrible Mouse, a strong hairy beast with a long, swishing tail, fiery menacing eyes, and a mustache as hard as iron wire. He warns her not to go into the forest alone. But the little Gruffalo ignores the wise advice and goes to investigate in the forest.
