The warren of the rabbit Fiver and friends is being destroyed by man, their once so beloved hills are being turned into a construction site. Under the supervision of visionair Fiver and stout-hearted Bigwig the rabbits are fleeing in search of a new home. This turns out to be a journey filled with dangerous encounters, such as with a group of rabbits who are determined to prove their supremacy. The film is based on the book ‘Watership Down’ by Richard Adams but the theme is more relevant than ever. With Art Garfunkel’s hit Bright Eyes you’ll certainly feel nostalgic. Be careful, the supposedly seeming sweet children’s movie has plenty of gloomy figures and isn’t suited for the youngest audiences.
