The first movies by Disney date back to the ‘20’s. A period that bloomed in creativity, and still hides many treasures. Like these 4 films about Alice, a hero from flesh and bone, who grows throughout the cartoon. The technique was remarkable for its time, and the fine work had long been lost. But now, these 4 short films have been recovered today. They have been recolored and resonorised. They have been not only restored, but digitized by Malavida, who worked on the original nitrate reels. Thanks to the help of numerous partners like Eye, de Nederlandse Cinematheek and TITRA Film, it’s better than ever. The music was recorded by the world famous l’Orchestre de chambre d’Hôte and this ciné-concert is possible thanks to the support of ADRC.
